The Temple
Day 40
Today in church, we were reminded that our bodies are temples. I was reminded of the sin in staying in abusive relationships or places. The temple is a place of worship, a place for reverencing God, and your body, my body, is that.
My body is far more than the vessel that carries me through Earthly strife; my body is a dwelling place for Eledumare Himself. Interestingly, the entire body system operates in ways that we cannot fully understand. This mystery in itself tells me that my body is more than a vehicle; it is an avenue for worship to the God that knows every secret. This temple should never be misused lest we make the mistake that led to Jesus brandishing a whip in today’s Gospel. At no point should our love for money, wealth, or the pleasures of life overshadow the use of our bodies in worship to God.
May God bless and guide us in our walk with Him.
One more thing, this would be my last daily post. Falling is a personal experiment that unfolds in different phases. Another phase is done, and I would now commit to posting twice every week. Thank you for coming on this experiment with me, and please, do not get off the train-ride yet.
-Eledumare’s masterpiece will not see you tomorrow but soon enough🤍✌🏽
